Decriminalize Marijuana
I co-signed a resolution in support of legalizing marijuana in the state. It’s time for Pennsylvania to join the growing number of states that have legalized marijuana. Criminalizing cannabis has fueled mass incarceration, disproportionately harmed communities of color, and wasted taxpayer dollars that could be invested in schools, healthcare, and infrastructure.
As State Representative, I will fight to:
-
Fully legalize and regulate marijuana for adult use, ensuring safety, transparency, and consumer protections.
-
Expunge past marijuana convictions, so that people are not held back from jobs, housing, or education opportunities because of outdated laws.
-
Create an equitable cannabis industry, prioritizing licenses and opportunities for small businesses, women, veterans, and communities most impacted by the War on Drugs.
-
Invest tax revenue in our communities, funding public education, mental health services, infrastructure, and programs that reduce harm and support recoveryProtect medical marijuana patients, ensuring access and affordability for those who rely on cannabis for health and well-being.
