Housing Is a Human Right

Housing and Homelessness have been and continue to be my top priorities on City Council. I led the fight to increase affordable housing, assist homeowners and protect tenants and support the homeless.

I am ready to make housing a priority in Harrisburg.

My Plan for Housing Justice:

Build and Preserve Affordable Housing

  • Rent Stabilization

  • Inclusionary Zoning

  • Fully Fund PA Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement (PHARE)

Hold Corporate Landlords Accountable

  • Register and regulate Wall Street landlords

  • Stop speculative housing practices that drive up costs for everyone

  • Enforce maintenance and habitability standards

Keep People in their Homes

  • Just cause eviction protections

  • Guaranteed legal representation for tenants in eviction court

  • Eviction Sealing protections

  • Assist homeowners with repairs (Whole Home Repair)

  • Property Tax Relief for Seniors & Working Families

 Housing First Approach

  • Stop criminalization of homelessness

  • Invest in permanent, supportive housing

  • Increase mental health and drug & alcohol services

Over half of renters spend more than 30% of their income on housing in the Lehigh Valley.

Wages aren’t keeping up. Too many of us are just one emergency, one paycheck away from being homeless. We can change that. With the right leadership, Pennsylvania can guarantee housing as a human right—not just a dream for the lucky few.Let’s Build a Future Where Everyone Has a Place to Call Home.
