Childcare for All
No parent should have to choose between earning a paycheck and caring for their child. But right now, childcare costs in Pennsylvania are out of control, often higher than rent or a mortgage. Families are struggling, and our economy suffers when parents—especially women—are pushed out of the workforce.I believe childcare is a right, not a privilege.
As your State Representative, I will fight to:

-
Make childcare affordable for every family by capping costs at no more than 7% of income and expanding state subsidies.
-
Invest in early learning by fully funding Pre-K Counts, Head Start, and birth-to-three programs so all children can thrive.
-
Support childcare workers with fair wages, benefits, and training so the people caring for our kids can support their own families.
-
Expand access and options by funding community-based programs, evening and weekend care, and inclusive services for children with disabilities.
-
Fund childcare fairly by closing tax loopholes and making big corporations and the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share.
